As some of you may know, I really like bikes.
Last winter I had a project bike in the basement that I was eagerly getting ready for spring (2009). It was going to be a fun, fast and ‘fancy’ freestyle bike made for a combination of doing tricks and transporting me around the city in style! 
I couldn’t wait to get it out for a spin, and I’d ride it around my basement in small circles practicing my balance and trying to get a ‘feel’ for what it might be like on the road.  Unfortunately that spin never came as I ended up tearing my achilles tendon during a soccer game and had to spend the summer in a cast. Needless to say the bike project was put on the back burner and I redirected my attentions towards other things mainly getting my ability to walk back. The bike project was briefly revisited this fall and I have changed it’s direction towards being a modern cruiser, or townie bike that would get me (and possibly my four legged passenger) from A to B in fashionable comfort.
